I think he already is just like his brother to answer the question. He was obvoiusly more naive than his brother at the time and i think this is a classic case of boys will be boys. I didn't find Ysrael to be as shocking or upsetting as a few others had. I guess I expect that to go on between boys, ie: stealing (not paying for the bus ride), beating up a helpless disfigured boy Just Because. They found that sort of thing exciting, I can see why. It's cruel, but its honest and its real.
To comment on the structure of the two, I really didn't get the numbering... It didn't seem to have any real reason to be there.
I did enjoy All Because of the Mistake. I did love how they said YOU all of the time. It reminded me of my childhood, when your father would tell you a bedtime story that made you imagine these fantastical things, well thats how i felt about that story.. I feel like it opened up the imagination and put you in the driver's seat (no pun intended).
